Virax Biolabs to Distribute Mpox Detection Kits Across Europe, GCC

08:21 AM EDT, 08/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Virax Biolabs Group (VRAX) said Wednesday it has signed a distribution agreement with a supplier to market RT-PCR Mpox virus detection kits in 13 European countries and all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations.

The company said the kits are CE-marked for Europe and authorized by the UK's Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.

The agreement allows Virax to import, sell, and distribute the kits under its brand in key markets, including the UK, France, Portugal, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, and GCC nations like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, it added.

Shares of Virax Biolabs were up more than 22% in recent premarket activity.
