Scorpio Tankers Sells Two Tankers for $85 Million; Enters Time Charter-out Deal for 2018-Built Vessel

11:20 AM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Scorpio Tankers (STNG) said Tuesday it agreed to sell two 2014-built scrubber fitted medium range product tankers STI San Antonio and STI Texas City for $42.5 million each.
The sales are expected to close in Q4, according to the company.
Scorpio Tankers agreed to a three-year time charter-out deal for the 2018-built medium range product tanker STI Jardins at $29,550 per day.
An oil major is chartering the vessel and the time charter is expected to begin in Q3 or Q4, the company added.
Shares of the Scorpio Tankers were down 3.3% in recent trading.
